  • Petite Sirah

    The aromas feature ripe concentrated dark fruits; cassis, boysenberry and black raspberry. Aged in 100% new French Oak, the bouquet delivers scents of mocha, malt, and dark chocolate. On the palate, supple savory flavors of concentrated black fruits meld with those of mocha and sweet vanilla laden toasted oak. The ripe grapes that 2019 vintage provided has translated into a wine with a viscosity that coats the mouth with a luscious creamy texture. We have gone to great lengths to keep the tannins in check and the result is a full satisfying finish.
  • Zinfandel
    The Massoni Ranch produces wines with aromas loaded with classic Zinfandel fruit; black raspberry, dark cherry and boysenberry, and the 2019 vintage is no exception.   Aging this wine in small oak barrels provides it with a bouquet of toast, vanilla, and caramel. Flavors of red raspberry, currants and toasty oak are delivered by a wine with a creamy luscious texture. Our goal is for the wine to have a rich satisfying viscosity without harsh drying tannins, and the 2019 “Z” is one of our best efforts in this regard.   In the finish, juicy red fruits linger well along with a pleasant background of oak.
  • Petite Verdot
    Aromas of triple berry pie filling; blackberry, marionberry and dark cherry are teamed with a bouquet of soft creamy mocha that lift gracefully from the glass.  Flavors reminiscent of a buttery black currant pastry are delivered by a wine with a smooth supple texture.  The tannins are mature and feed a long finish with flavors of deeply toasted oak lingering well after the wine is gone. This is an elegant red wine that doesn’t require any time in the cellar to be savored and enjoyed, and it comes from a grape that deserves more respect than its getting.
  • 2019 Barbera
    The aroma centers on raspberry, cherry and currant, along with a perfumed note of violets and lavender.  The aromas are framed with notes of vanilla, nutmeg, and hazelnut.  However, our 2019 Barbera has a savory succulence and a rich viscosity not normally associated with Barbera.  The red fruit flavors are delivered by a wine with a creamy, smooth, and round texture that transitions seamlessly to an elegant finish with notes of mocha, caramel, and gently toasted oak. 
  • 1448 Red Blend
    Named after the elevation of the Runquist Winery. It is a blend of Petit Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Barbera, with small percentages of many of his other red wines. It is medium bodied, fruit forward, with a nice finish. Flavors of dark fruits, plum and raspberries.
